The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field teams are preparing for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin, scheduled for May 21-23. Six athletes from Illinois Wesleyan have qualified to compete after ranking among the top 22 individuals in their events.
This event is significant as it brings together top collegiate athletes at the NCAA Division III level, providing an opportunity for both experienced competitors and first-time qualifiers to showcase their abilities on a national stage. The Illinois Wesleyan Titans Women’s Track and Field competes at this level, according to the official website.
According to the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings released on May 19, the Illinois Wesleyan women’s team has moved up ten spots to number 22 nationally. The roster includes seniors Evan Lowder, Adriana Crabtree, Taylor French; juniors Mackenzie Huber, Imani Ogunribido; and freshman Tori Brown—all set to represent the university at nationals. Lowder, Crabtree, and Ogunribido bring prior outdoor national championship experience with six combined appearances among them. French, Huber, and Brown will make their outdoor championship debuts this year.
Ogunribido is currently ranked first in women’s outdoor triple jump after achieving a leap of 12.51 meters at a recent qualifier event. Lowder enters his third career appearance in men’s outdoor 400 meters as a two-time First Team All-American with a season-best time of 46.99 seconds. Crabtree aims to improve upon her seventh-place finish last year in the women’s steeplechase while holding her program’s record in that event.
Huber transitions from an indoor championship debut—where she finished fourth nationally—to competing outdoors in the women’s 800 meters as she enters ranked fifteenth nationally this week. Brown (triple jump) and French (javelin) are both first-year participants who hold twelfth place rankings heading into nationals; French’s javelin mark ranks fifth all-time for her program while Brown achieved her personal best just before qualifying.
The Illinois Wesleyan Titans Women’s Track and Field is affiliated with Illinois Wesleyan University athletics programs based in Bloomington, Illinois; they participate as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin within NCAA Division III athletics according to information from their official website. The team hosts events at Shirk Center Indoor Track located on campus.
Live results will be available during competition days beginning Thursday evening when Crabtree opens participation for IWU with preliminaries in the women’s steeplechase.
