Justice – Janusz Ptak, a cherished soul and beloved patriarch, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2025, in North Riverside, Illinois, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on August 14, 1957, in DÄ™bica, Poland, Janusz’s life was a profound testament to his enduring strength, love, and faith.

Janusz, the devoted son of the late Edward and Pelagia, exemplified his parents’ nurturing spirits through his actions. He was a loving husband to Boguslawa, a guide to his children, Katarzyna, Krzysztof, and Pawel, and a pillar of strength to his family. His siblings, Malgorzata and the late Roman, shared in the close family bond that was central to Janusz’s world. His joy in life was amplified by his grandchildren, Wiktor, Eliza, Dominik, Klaudia, and Kasandra, who will forever remember his tender love and wisdom. Janusz’s influence extends to his sons-in-law, Arek, and daughters-in-law, Magdalena and Sarah, who became part of the cherished family he held dear. His granddogs, Glitter and Lucky, brought him joy and companionship.

Transforming his early life in the scenic landscapes of Poland, Janusz enriched his journey with service in the Polish Army, nurturing his farming skills. His craft as a carpenter spanned 30 years, underscoring the dedication and passion he poured into his work. Janusz’s faith was unwavering, evident through his ushership at St. Mary of Czestochowa. Guided by his Catholic values, he radiated a path of steadfast belief in every aspect of his life.

Avid sports spectator and woodworking enthusiast, Janusz’s true passion lay in creating lifelong memories with his family. With a knack for fixing and creating with his hands, his tangible love and fervor shone through his artistry.

Loving, passionate, and remarkably skilled, Janusz was a man who approached life with warmth and generosity, reflecting in his friendships and giving spirit.

Janusz Ptak’s memory will be treasured as a beacon of love and resilience by those who were fortunate to know him. His spirit lives on through the moments shared, lessons imparted, and love that continues to blossom in the hearts of the family he held in high esteem. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his indomitable spirit and love will remain, his legacy carrying forth into the generations to come. Rest in peace, Janusz, until we reunite in the glory of God’s realm.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice. A funeral service will follow with prayers and procession from the funeral home to Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church in Cicero for a Mass. The interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
