Jason “Jay” Palka, 44, of Manteno, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Born on November 12, 1980, in Blue Island, he was the son of Edward Donald and Lori Beth Palka. Jay married Natalie Benavides in 2010 and was active in coaching little league and children’s sports in Manteno for over 15 years. He worked as a loan officer and business owner, attended Urban Prairie Community Church, and enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. Survived by his wife, Natalie, children Jason Jr., Hayden, Jaxon, Jordan, and Alexis, parents, siblings, and grandchildren. Jay was preceded in death by his grandfathers William Gertler and Edward Palka, and grandmother Patricia Miller. Visitation and a service will be held at Brown-Jensen Funeral Home in Manteno on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, with Pastor Jason Nelson officiating.
