Willkie Farr & Gallagher partner Jason Linder will participate in a panel discussion on May 14 as part of the 28th Annual Transnational Crime Conference hosted by the International Bar Association in Athens, Greece. Linder, who chairs Willkie’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act practice, will join other legal practitioners for a session titled “Gift vs. Bribe: The Ultimate Fight.”
The panel aims to clarify distinctions between legitimate business courtesies and improper advantages. Panelists will discuss challenges faced by multinational companies as they navigate anti-corruption frameworks and cultural expectations.
Topics to be addressed include risk-assessment tools, red flags for compliance violations, documentation practices, and effective training strategies. Real-world scenarios will be used to illustrate how companies can distinguish between acceptable hospitality and actions that may cross ethical or legal boundaries.
The conference provides an opportunity for legal professionals from around the world to share knowledge about transnational crime issues. Registration information is available through the event organizers.
Linder’s participation reflects ongoing efforts within the legal community to address evolving standards related to international business conduct.
