John Andrew Hamilton, lovingly known as “Drew,” aged 77, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at Hinsdale Hospital. Drew was a man who embraced life, finding joy in hobbies such as tinkering with trains, racing slot cars, and fishing. Known for his sense of humor and readiness to help others, he left behind a legacy of laughter and kindness. Drew valued time with family above all else, creating lasting memories and connections. He will be dearly missed and remembered for his remarkable cheesecake. Survived by his wife, Debra Hamilton, children Chris and Scott Hamilton, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Bob Hamilton, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, grandson Scott Jr., and siblings Carol, Nancy, Cyndi, and Tim. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025, with military honors at 5:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be performed.
