John Valentine Just passed away on September 17, 2025, after battling cancer. Born on May 8, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, John was the beloved son of Nancy and Casey Just. He attended schools in South Holland and Phoenix, where he participated in sports and developed a passion for mechanics and property management.

John co-owned multifamily housing units and excelled as a property manager and project manager. His skills in mechanics, plumbing, and carpentry were evident in his work and volunteer efforts at the Izaak Walton Preserve. John’s kind heart, sense of humor, and love for fishing will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and husband Cory Williams.

He is survived by his husband, siblings, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of relatives and friends. A memorial visitation and service will be held on Saturday, September 27, at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood. Memorial donations can be made to honor John’s memory.

John’s legacy of generosity and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
