The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois announced on Apr. 29 that Judge Thorne’s hearing schedule will change beginning the week of June 1.

The new schedule will see all Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters heard on Tuesdays, with original Chapter 11 cases at 9:00 a.m., continued or set Chapter 11 matters at 9:30 a.m., and confirmations or confirmation status hearings for Chapter 11 at 10:15 a.m. Original Chapter 7 matters will be held at 11:00 a.m., followed by continued or set Chapter 7 cases at 11:15 a.m.

Additionally, the Joliet Chapter 13 call will move to Wednesdays and follow the current time schedule as listed on the court’s website. The court said that hearing dates through the end of the year would be provided.

Hearings that were scheduled before this notice will automatically be moved to their correct times under the new system. For hearings scheduled after this notice, an amended notice is required.

Those with questions are encouraged to contact Judge Thorne’s chambers.
