Kahok Athletics announced on April 24 the release of its Summer 2026 sports camp schedule, providing students with opportunities to participate in athletic activities during the summer months. Families can access registration through a QR code or by using a provided sign-up form. For additional questions, Athletic Director Clay Smith is available via email at csmith1@cusd.kahoks.org.

The camps are part of broader summer offerings within Collinsville Community Unit School District 10, which serves students across Madison and St. Clair counties. The district includes schools such as Caseyville Elementary School, Collinsville High School, Collinsville Middle School, Dorris Intermediate School, Jefferson Elementary School, John A. Renfro Elementary School, Kreitner Elementary School, Maryville Elementary School, Summit Elementary School, Twin Echo Elementary School and Webster Elementary School according to the Illinois Report Card.

Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 employs 418 teachers with an average salary of $60,392 before pension contributions; women make up 81 percent of the teaching staff while men comprise 19 percent. No teacher in the district had more than ten absences in a school year according to state data.

The student population is diverse: the district is composed of approximately 56 percent White students, 14.1 percent Black students, 24.1 percent Hispanic students and 0.5 percent Asian students as reported by ISBE. In terms of financial resources and spending priorities for education and extracurriculars like athletics camps, Collinsville Community Unit School District spent $16,872 per student in the year 2020 for a total expenditure of $104 million according to official records.

Chronic truancy remains lower than state averages: during the same school year there were reportedly only three out of every one hundred students classified as “chronically truant”—defined as missing five percent or more days without valid excuse—compared to nearly ten statewide according to ISBE data. The district enrolled just over six thousand K-12 students during that period as reported by ISBE.

As families look ahead to summer activities for their children within this unit school district serving pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Collinsville and Madison County areas—athletic camps provide an opportunity for engagement outside traditional classroom settings.
