KSD 140 schools to dismiss early on May 1 for half-day schedule

Kirby School District 140 announced on April 27 that all district schools, including Prairie View Middle School, will observe a half-day schedule on Friday, May 1. Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m., while middle school students will leave at noon. Early Childhood and Preschool programs have specific dismissal times, with AM Early Childhood ending at 9:20 a.m., PM Early Childhood at 11:10 a.m., AM Preschool at 9:10 a.m., and PM Preschool at 10:40 a.m.

The announcement is relevant for families as it affects transportation and after-school arrangements across the district. The reminder comes as the registration discount deadline also approaches on April 30.
