Laverne Jeanette Martin, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025. She was a dedicated educator in the Chicago Public Schools and treasured her time with her late husband, Donald Martin. Laverne is survived by her children Christine Fritsch and John Martin, grandson Matthew Fritsch, and other family members and friends.

Visitation for Laverne and Donald Martin will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Tinley Park, Illinois, starting at 1:00 PM, with a service at 4:00 PM.
