Lester J. Lukomski, aged 79, passed away peacefully in Dwight, IL on September 1, 2025. Born in Germany, Lester had a diverse life journey that included military service in Vietnam, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Special Forces Airborne Division. He continued serving in the reserves until 2006 before a career at the phone company. Lester adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home, with burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery alongside his late wife Glenna. Flowers or trees can be sent in his memory.
