The Lincoln-Way West Warriors defeated the Shepard Astros 19–7 in a varsity boys water polo non-conference game.

The matchup took place at Lincoln-Way West High School and saw the Warriors build a comfortable lead throughout the contest. Lincoln-Way West limited Shepard to seven goals and maintained steady scoring from start to finish, finishing with a 19-7 victory in the non-conference win over Shepard. The Warriors controlled the game with consistent performance, according to MaxPreps.

This result sets up Lincoln-Way West for their next scheduled game against Conant in a neutral non-conference matchup on April 4, as reported by MaxPreps. The upcoming contest will be the first meeting between Lincoln-Way West and Conant this season, according to MaxPreps.

Lincoln Way West High School serves grades 9 through 12 and had an enrollment of 1,941 students during the 2019-2020 school year. It is located in New Lenox and Will County, according to Illinois Report Card. Of these students, grade 10 had the highest concentration at 39.4 percent, while grade 12 accounted for 37 percent, grade 11 for 36.1 percent, and grade 9 for 36.3 percent of all students during that period, according to Illinois Report Card.

Demographically, Lincoln Way West was made up of 81.8 percent white students, 1.8 percent black students, 12.7 percent Hispanic students, and one percent Asian students in the same school year, according to Illinois Report Card.
