Local Man Piotr Jan Jakób, Known as “RedBull,” Dies at 45 on July 2, 2025

Piotr Jan Jakób, also known as “RedBull,” age 45, passed away on July 2, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Jakób, father of Julia Maria Jakób, Maria Magdalena Jakób, Magdalena Lucja Jakób, Lucja Anna Jakób, and the late Jan Franciszek Jakób. Piotr was the cherished son of Teresa and Franciszek Jakób, and the dear brother of Bozena, Fr. Pawel Jakób, and Patrycja. He will be remembered fondly as an uncle to Olivia, Nicol, and Amelka.

A talented individual, Piotr had a passion for cooking, music, dancing, and acting, endearing him to all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, at 7861 S. 88th Avenue in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with prayers and procession starting at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission at 116 Hilton Street, Willow Springs, Illinois, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
