Marie P. Costigan, aged 96, passed away on September 13, 2025, at LaBella of Clifton. She was born on October 1, 1928, in Irwin, IL, to Thomas and Marie Maley. Marie was married to James W. Costigan for 38 years and had two sons, Patrick and Michael. Known for her culinary skills, Marie worked at various restaurants and was a retired member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. She is survived by her son Michael, daughter-in-law LouAnne, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Marie’s cremation rites have been accorded, and a visitation followed by Mass will be held on October 18, 2025, at St. Patrick Church in Kankakee, with inurnment at Sts. Mary and Joseph Cemetery in Chebanse, IL. The family wishes to thank the staff at LaBella of Clifton and UpliftedCare for their care and compassion. Services are arranged by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home.
