Tinley Park, IL – MaryAnn Gawley, 95, peacefully passed away on July 25, 2025, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Formerly of Tinley Park, MaryAnn was the dear wife of the late Severin Gawley.

A loving mother to Thomas, Severin “Ted”, Nanci, Tim, and the late Cheryl Gawley, MaryAnn was also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to a cherished family. She found her passion in organizing banquets and parties at Prestwick Country Club, infusing joy into countless celebrations. Yet, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends, and attending church, where her welcoming and warm spirit created a sense of home for all.

Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Wilemina Oostema, and siblings Theodore, Edward, Margaret, and Ruth, MaryAnn’s legacy of love and kindness will endure.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Tinley Park, with a funeral service on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Tinley Park Memorial Cemetery.

In honor of MaryAnn Gawley, donations and messages of sympathy can be expressed through the flower store. MaryAnn will be remembered for her unwavering love, warm spirit, and dedication to her family and community.
