Orland Park, IL – Maureen Marquardt (nee McSweeney), 90, passed away, leaving a legacy of love and kindness. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry J. “Bud” Marquardt and a devoted mother to Dan (Cathy), Tom (Lori), Jim (Jennifer), Michael (Amy), and the late Reenie (Tom) Haas.

Maureen will be remembered as a cherished grandmother to Shannon (Brian) O’Neil, Kristen (Josh) Hill, Ryan (Christina), Kevin, Karli, Allison, Danielle, Melissa, Jimmy, Lexi, Jack, Hope (Jensen) Link, Grace (Josh) Bossette, Faith, Joy, and Samuel. She took great pride in her role as a proud great-grandmother to Nathan, Gavin, Nora, Grayson, and Jaxson.

She was the dear daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (nee Sheehan) McSweeney and a loving sister to Bette Garrity and the late Therese (late Jim) Houtsma and Bob (Shirley) McSweeney. Maureen was a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with the funeral service scheduled for Monday starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home. The service will proceed to St. Damian Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Maureen will find her final resting place at Good Shepherd Cemetery.

In remembrance of Maureen, flowers can be sent to the family or a tree can be planted to honor her life.
