Mazda reports April sales results and year-to-date performance

Mazda North American Operations announced on May 2 that total vehicle sales in April reached 31,128 units, representing a decrease of 17.3% compared to April of the previous year. Year-to-date sales totaled 125,601 vehicles, down by 15.1% from the same period last year.

This decline in sales comes as Mazda continues to operate across multiple markets in North America. The company also reported a drop of 17.3% in its daily sales rate for April when compared with the previous year.

Certified pre-owned vehicle sales for Mazda reached 7,082 units in April, marking a decrease of 3.3% from the prior year’s figure for the same month. In Canada, Mazda Canada Inc. reported April sales of 6,117 vehicles—a drop of 26.7% compared to last year—with cumulative yearly sales at 21,270 units, which is down by 14.5%. Meanwhile, Mazda Motor de México recorded an increase in April with total vehicle sales reaching 8,391 units—up by 6% over last year—though its cumulative yearly total fell by 3%, totaling at 32,923 vehicles sold so far this year.
