Michael Patrick McCarthy, age 25, passed away. He was the beloved son of John “Jack” Ret. EPPD and Catherine McCarthy, loving brother of Kevin, MPD, Meghan, Timothy, and Ryan, CPD McCarthy, and cherished uncle of Warren McCarthy. Michael was a true companion to his German Shepherd, Schatzi, and adored nephew, cousin, and friend to many. As a crane operator with Teamsters Local 710, he exhibited pride in his work. Michael, the youngest of five siblings, had a warm and humorous presence, often making others laugh with his one-liners. He had a passion for animals and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing video games, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks, despite the team’s challenges. Visitation will be held at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to NAWS Humane Society are appreciated. Memories and stories can be shared on Michael’s Tribute Wall to provide comfort to his family.
