Littler announced on May 13 that Michelle Gomez has been appointed as the firm’s Executive Director of Wellness, Engagement & Development. In this new position, Gomez will be responsible for shaping and advancing Littler’s approach to employee wellness, strengthening engagement strategies, and guiding career development opportunities across the firm.
The appointment comes as employers are paying more attention to mental health in the workplace. According to Littler’s 2026 Employer Survey, nearly 70% of employers have seen an increase in mental health-related leaves of absence and accommodation requests during the past year.
Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president, said: “I’m thrilled that Michelle is stepping into this position, which sits at the center of how we support one another—not just as colleagues, but as people balancing demanding, complex work alongside our personal lives and priorities. Her appointment reflects Littler’s continued commitment to building an environment where wellness, engagement, and professional growth are woven together to best serve our people.”
In her new role alongside her client responsibilities, Gomez will lead the firm’s comprehensive wellness strategy. She will develop programs supporting employees’ mental, physical and emotional health; partner with leadership to integrate wellness into firm culture; oversee resources related to wellbeing; provide training for healthy teams; continue overseeing attorney onboarding; and create innovative training programs.
Melissa Cee, Littler’s Chief Talent Officer said: “Michelle has had an immeasurable impact at Littler and been a tireless advocate for the role wellness plays in our lives. She brings intention and empathy to every aspect of her work… There is no one better suited for this role.”
Gomez said: “Wellness has long been a passion of mine… We are stronger for ourselves, our colleagues and clients when we support one another and have the tools to show up to work as our best selves. I look forward to making that a reality at Littler for years to come.”
