Millikin’s Caleb Akins named to ABCA/Rawlings All-America Third Team

Millikin University sophomore Caleb Akins was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings 2026 All-America Third Team on May 28.

Earlier in the week, Akins was also selected for the D3baseball.com All-American Fourth Team. During the season, Akins recorded a 10-2 win-loss record with a 2.63 earned run average and tallied 84 strikeouts. He is tied for fourth in NCAA Division III in victories and ranked tenth nationally with a WHIP of 0.95.

Akins made 14 starts for Millikin, completing four games and pitching a total of 95.2 innings. Opposing batters had an average of .198 against him, and he allowed only 28 earned runs over the course of the season.

Akins served as a key starter for the Big Blue baseball team, which finished with a record of 35-10. The team won both the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season and tournament championships before advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
