Millikin University announced on May 11 that it will serve as a regional host for the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament, which will take place from May 15 to May 17 at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur, Illinois.
The selection highlights Millikin’s strong season performance. The team has achieved a record of 35 wins and eight losses and has secured both the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season and tournament titles. The Big Blue is scheduled to play its opening game against the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, which holds a record of 32-12 and enters as an at-large team from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. This matchup is set for Friday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m.
The first game of the regional will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, featuring Baldwin Wallace (30-9), champions of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, facing Wartburg College (26-15), winners of the American Rivers Conference Tournament.
Tournament play continues Saturday with three games scheduled for 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 6 p.m. The championship game is slated for Sunday, May 17 at 11 a.m., with an additional game if necessary.
Hosting this event underscores Millikin University’s status within collegiate baseball this season. The upcoming tournament is expected to draw attention from fans and teams across several conferences.
