Millikin women’s tennis team ends season with two losses

The Big Blue women’s tennis team concluded its regular season on April 17 with matches in Greenville, Illinois and Principia, Illinois. The team lost both matches, finishing the season with a record of 2-14.

The results mark the end of a challenging campaign for the Big Blue. The team’s performance in these final matches reflected their efforts throughout the season.

Against Greenville, Millikin fell 0-7. Addison Ross competed closely at No. 4 singles against Evie Johnson, winning the first set 6-2 before dropping the next two sets 4-6 and 7-10. In their match against Principia, which ended in a 1-6 loss for Millikin, Ross secured a victory at No. 4 singles by defeating Gislove Glokpor in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2.

With these results, the Big Blue closed out their schedule having earned two wins over fourteen losses this year.

Looking ahead, the conclusion of regular season play gives players and coaches an opportunity to reflect on this year’s experiences as they prepare for future competitions.
