The Mokena Youth Athletic Association announced on Mar. 28 that its Winter Rise N Grind camp will be open to all students from kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2026/27 school year, with no participation fee required.

The event is available to all eligible children regardless of whether they are part of the Illinois Junior Celtics program. Organizers said participants should bring water to stay hydrated and wear athletic clothing along with gym shoes, turf shoes, or cleats, but not metal spikes.

Parents and guardians of returning families are asked to drop off their children before camp and pick them up promptly at the end. The association requested that attendees do not arrive more than ten minutes before the scheduled start time, as the camp will begin promptly at its designated hour.

Special guest coaches are expected to lead sessions during the camp. The organizers said they look forward to welcoming all participants and encouraged respectful behavior toward all coaches involved in the program.

Those seeking additional information about registration or other aspects of Rise N Grind can contact organizers via Facebook messenger.
