Illinois State Senator Andrew Chesney announced on May 25 that he and Mount Carroll Mayor Carl Bates will host an I-PASS On Demand Event in Mount Carroll on Wednesday, June 24. The event is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Davis Community Center, located at 631 South East Street.
According to Chesney, the event offers residents an opportunity to return old I-PASS transponders, receive a new I-PASS Sticker Tag, and get assistance managing their accounts. Staff will be available to help transfer deposit balances and assist with invoice payments without additional fees or fines.
“The new I-PASS Sticker Tags are battery-free, environmentally friendly, and can be used on both Illinois Tollway and E-ZPass roadways after activation,” Chesney said.
Chesney also said he encourages anyone with questions about their I-PASS account or who needs to replace an older transponder to attend the event. “Events like this are a simple but important way to connect residents with helpful state services closer to home,” he said.
Chesney, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State Senate in 2023 to represent the state’s 45th Senate District, replacing previous state senator Brian Stewart, according to the Illinois General Assembly.
