Myra Jean Jakubowski, nee Rafferty, passed away on September 14, 2025. Survived by her children Rhonda, Joe (Bethany), and Jon, and eleven beloved grandchildren, Myra had an unwavering dedication to her family’s wellbeing and happiness that will forever be commemorated. Despite facing personal adversity, she selflessly prioritized her children, grandchildren, and loved ones above all else, embodying traits of resilience and unconditional love.

Known for her loving, compassionate nature, Myra found joy in reading, music, arts and crafts, painting, and crocheting. She had a passion for travel, with Hawaii holding a special place in her heart. Myra’s innate ability to listen endeared her to those around her, making her a comforting and empathetic presence.

Originally from Chicago and a resident of Bolingbrook and Lemont, IL, Myra also spent time living in Tennessee, Florida, and South Carolina. As a dedicated healthcare worker, she received praise from patients for her exceptional care and service.

In honor of Myra, donations to the American Diabetes Association are welcomed. Visitation will be held at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. in Lemont on September 22, 2025. Funeral services will be private, allowing loved ones to pay their respects in a touching farewell to Myra Jean Jakubowski.
