Homewood – Nancy Annabelle Inserra, age 81, passed away early Wednesday morning at her home in Homewood, IL, with her daughters by her side. She is survived by her children Maggie (Craig) Olsby, Anthony Inserra, Jennifer (Patrick) Klingberg, and Gina Inserra, as well as her grandchildren and beloved dogs.

Nancy was born in Duluth, MN, and married her husband, Louis S. Inserra Jr., in 1964. They raised their family in Schaumburg before moving to Coventry, RI, and then Plainfield, IL. Nancy was known for her volunteer work at church and schools, and her passion for gardening earned her the 2024 Homewood Beautification Award.

Nancy will be interred alongside her husband at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Details for services are private.
