NFIB Illinois, in partnership with the Mid-West Trucking Association, organized a virtual event on February 13 to discuss the proposed adoption of California’s vehicle emissions standards. The event aimed to inform small business owners about how they can express their opinions and oppose these policies.

The Illinois Pollution Control Board is considering adopting several of California’s vehicle emissions standards, including Advanced Clean Cars II, Advanced Clean Trucks, and Low NOx Heavy-Duty Omnibus Regulation. Hearings on these proposals are set for March 10-12, 2025. Public comments will be accepted both in-person on March 10 and online on March 11. NFIB Illinois urges its members to voice their concerns regarding what it describes as an “egregious regulatory burden.”
