The Oak Forest Bengals defeated the Bremen Braves 17–0 in a varsity softball game. Oak Forest set the tone early with an explosive first inning and maintained control throughout, combining consistent hitting with dominant pitching to secure the shutout win in four innings.
The matchup saw Oak Forest take control early, scoring 13 runs in the first inning. The Bengals added three more runs in the second and another in the third, finishing with 16 hits and 17 runs overall. Kira Morgan led the team with a perfect 4-for-4 performance and three RBIs, while Alexis Richter contributed two hits including a home run and two RBIs. Lily Short also homered, and multiple players recorded multi-hit games as the lineup produced consistently. In the circle, Nadia Andrysiak threw four hitless innings with eight strikeouts to secure the shutout, according to MaxPreps.
Oak Forest will next travel to face Tinley Park in a conference game on April 13, as reported by MaxPreps. The last time these teams met was on May 30, 2025, when Oak Forest fell to Tinley Park 8–2 in a playoff game at Oak Forest High School.
Oak Forest High School serves grades nine through twelve and had an enrollment of 1,402 students during the 2019-2020 school year. It is located in Oak Forest and Cook County, according to Illinois Report Card.
