During the session, council members will consider an ordinance adopting the City of Petersburg’s fiscal year 2027 operating budget and another ordinance for the Petersburg City Public Schools fiscal year 2027 budget. These discussions are expected to set funding priorities for both city operations and public education for the upcoming fiscal year.

Residents can watch the proceedings via Zoom using Meeting ID: 841 9955 2173 or by calling one of several phone numbers provided by city officials. The city has also made arrangements for individuals who need assistance or accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. “Anyone needing assistance or accommodation under the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act should call the Office of the Clerk of Council at (804) 733-2323,” said Tangi R. Additional information about these matters is available from the Office of the Clerk of City Council in Room 210 at City Hall or by telephone. Members of the public are invited to attend and present their views during a scheduled public hearing as part of this process.
