Chicago native Philip Michael Pohrebny, aged 70, passed away on September 5, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1955, to John Jr. and Josephine Pohrebny. Phil was the devoted father of Jacob and cherished brother of Kathleen Czubernat, Carol Cassidy, and Gregory Pohrebny. He was also a beloved uncle to Josephine and Christopher Czubernat, Dawn Sokolowski, Melissa Peters, Patrick Cassidy, Amanda Grier, and Greg and Molly Pohrebny. Phil was a former employee of John’s Foods and Jewel-Osco, where he was a proud member of Teamsters Local 710 for 36 years.

Visitation for Phil will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hann Funeral Home in Bridgeview, IL. Funeral prayers will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery.
