President Larry Dominick was honored on May 12 for his 21 years leading the Town of Cicero, during a celebration attended by town officials, employees, residents, family, and friends. The event included a special recognition presented by his wife, First Lady Diana Dominick.

The evening highlighted Dominick’s long-standing commitment to the community. Diana Dominick said, “Twenty-one years ago, Larry made a promise to give everything he had to the people of Cicero, and he has kept that promise every single day. I have seen the long hours, the difficult decisions, and the countless moments where he put this community before himself. But I have also seen the love he has for the residents of this town. Cicero is not just where we live — it is family to him. Tonight, we celebrate not only his years in office, but the heart, strength, and compassion he has poured into this community for more than two decades.”

Attendees gave a standing ovation as they reflected on changes under Dominick’s leadership in areas such as public safety investments and expanded community programs for all ages. His administration focused on strengthening services including senior assistance and infrastructure maintenance across neighborhoods in Cook County, according to the official website. During his remarks at the ceremony President Dominick said: “I am deeply grateful and truly humbled to serve the people of Cicero. These 21 years have been the honor of my life. Everything we have accomplished has been because of the hard-working people who stand beside me every day — our residents, our employees, our board, and especially my family. Cicero has always been about community, and I will continue working every day to give back to the town that has given so much to me.”

The Town draws its name from Roman statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero, according to its official website. In addition to municipal services such as public safety and recreational facilities, the official website reports that partnerships with local businesses support economic development.
