Illinois State Representative Brad Fritts attended the annual Police Memorial in Springfield on May 9. Fritts said the event is an opportunity to show support for law enforcement officers who serve and protect communities.

The memorial highlights the sacrifices made by police officers and underscores ongoing public appreciation for their work. The event draws attention to the importance of recognizing those who risk their lives in service.

“It was my honor to attend the annual Police Memorial in Springfield. Every year, we attend this memorial to show our support for the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities. Their sacrifice and bravery should never be taken for granted, which is why I will always stand strong for our law enforcement officers. Thank you for all that you do!” Fritts said.

Fritts was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 74th House District in 2023, replacing previous state representative Dan Swanson, according to public records.

The ongoing recognition of law enforcement at events like this reflects continued community engagement with issues of public safety.
