State Representative Jeff Keicher encouraged residents on May 4 to participate in the upcoming Give DeKalb County annual day of giving, which will take place on May 7. Keicher said he has supported and donated to the Bonus Pool since the event began and continues to be impressed by community generosity.

The event allows people to support nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County through online donations at GiveDeKalbCounty.org from midnight to midnight on May 7. For those who prefer mailing a check, donors can print a donation form, fill it out with their chosen nonprofits and amounts, then send one check payable to “DCCF” along with the form to the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Mail-in donations must be postmarked between April 23 and May 7.

Keicher said, “Gifts of all sizes make a difference. Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 7, and let’s make a difference one donation at a time! Thank you to everyone who has given!”

Every contribution made during Give DeKalb County is increased by the Bonus Pool, allowing each gift to have an even greater impact.

Keicher was elected as a Republican member of the Illinois State House in 2018 for the state’s 70th House District after replacing former state representative Robert W. Pritchard according to Ballotpedia.

Looking ahead, organizers hope that this year’s event will continue its tradition of strong community involvement.
