State Representative Kevin Schmidt announced on Apr. 14 that he will host a Coffee Talk event in Millstadt on April 20, inviting constituents to discuss state issues and legislative updates at the Millstadt Community Center.

The event aims to give residents an opportunity to engage directly with their representative about policies coming from Springfield and other matters important to the community.

“My upcoming Coffee Talk event will give my constituents the opportunity to have conversations about policies coming out of Springfield,” Schmidt said. “I look forward to this event and encourage everyone in Millstadt and surrounding areas to stop by if you are available!”

The meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 20, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Millstadt Community Center, located at 102 S. Jefferson St., Millstadt, Illinois. Attendees can expect legislative updates from Schmidt as well as open discussions about state-related issues.

Schmidt, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the state’s 114th House District after replacing former state representative LaToya Greenwood according to available records.

The Coffee Talk event provides a forum for community members in Millstadt and nearby areas to voice their concerns or ask questions directly of their local lawmaker.
