Illinois State Representative Dan Ugaste announced on April 24 that he and Senator DeWitte will host a Prescription Drug Drop Off event at the Town and Country Public Library District in Elburn. The event is scheduled for tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The initiative aims to provide residents with a safe way to dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs without leaving their vehicles. This free outdoor event is designed to help prevent improper disposal of medications and reduce potential harm in the community.
“REMINDER! – Please join us tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a Prescription Drug Drop Off event at the Town and Country Public Library District in Elburn. This is a free outdoor event that allows you to remain in your vehicle while safely disposing of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs,” Ugaste said.
Ugaste, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2019 to represent the state’s 65th House District, replacing previous state representative Steven Andersson according to Ballotpedia.
Events like this are part of ongoing efforts by local officials to encourage responsible medication disposal and promote public safety.
