State Representative Tom Weber welcomed the mayors of Fox Lake and Lindenhurst to the Illinois House of Representatives on May 6.
The visit highlights the ongoing collaboration between local government leaders and state legislators. The event underscores efforts by elected officials to maintain strong relationships in support of their communities.
“It was my pleasure to welcome Fox Lake Mayor Donny Schmit and Lindenhurst Mayor Dominic Marturano to the Illinois House of Representatives today,” said Weber. “Thank you to both of them for their leadership and commitment to the residents they serve!”
Weber, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2019 to represent the state’s 64th House District, replacing previous state representative Barbara Wheeler, according to Ballotpedia.
The meeting at the Capitol reflects ongoing engagement between municipal leaders and lawmakers as they work together on issues affecting their districts.
