Illinois State Representative Mike Coffey recognized his legislative assistant Donette on Apr. 22, expressing gratitude for her service to constituents in the state’s 95th District. The acknowledgment came as part of Administrative Professionals Day, which highlights the work of staff who support daily operations.

Administrative Professionals Day serves as an annual opportunity to appreciate those who help keep offices and government functions running smoothly. In a statement, Coffey said, “Administrative Professionals Day is a great reminder to recognize the people who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Thank you Donette, for your hard work and dedication to serve constituents in the 95th District. I appreciate all that you do for us!”

Coffey was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 95th House District in 2023, taking over from previous state representative Tim Butler according to public records.

The recognition of administrative professionals reflects ongoing efforts by lawmakers and organizations to highlight essential roles that support public service and community engagement.

As Administrative Professionals Day continues each year, similar acknowledgments are expected from other officials across various sectors.
