Richard “Rick” Kenneth Finchum, 72, of East Hazel Crest, passed away on June 25, 2025. Born on December 6, 1952, in Harvey, IL, and raised in the Phoenix neighborhood of Chicago, Rick was a proud member of the East Hazel Crest American Legion Post 1139.

Rick is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia, devoted nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, siblings, and many loved ones. He was known for his humor, love for family, and joy in socializing with friends. Rick will be dearly missed and remembered for his lively spirit and great character.

A Military Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home located at 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood.
