Robert Glynn, a retired CPD officer, distinguished St. John Fisher Football Coach, and a man who served as a mentor to many, peacefully passed away on July 11, 2025. Outlasting his beloved late wife Sandra of 65 years, Robert leaves behind a legacy of devotion to family, commitment to his community, and a strong influence on those he guided.

Robert was a devoted father to Robert, Kevin (Maureen), Terrance (Eileen), and Lori (Late Steven) Bechina. His imprint extends to his cherished grandchildren: Bobby, Jack, Leo, Sean, Kat (Brooks), Ryan, Grace, Terry, Danny, Marty (Mary), and Luke (Jeanna). He is remembered fondly as a loving brother to the late Fr. Finan J. Glynn (O.Carm), late Rita (late Bob) Marshall, late Francis (late Corlene) Glynn, and the late Donald (Sue) Glynn. Robert held a special place in the hearts of his extended family and many friends, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.

A visitation opportunity will be available on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by funeral services on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, located at 6116 W. 111th St. Chicago Ridge, IL, leading to St. John Fisher Church, in Chicago, IL. The Mass will commence at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
