Mokena – Ronald J. Smuszkiewicz, aged 81, of Mokena, passed away at his home on August 3, 2025. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Smuszkiewicz and niece Nicole Pfeiffer. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Smuszkiewicz, siblings Vickie Jo Smuszkiewicz and Robert Smuszkiewicz.
Ronald, a former member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and retired from International Harvester, enjoyed a second career as a bartender for 20 years, where he formed many connections. He had a passion for bowling and storytelling.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held privately at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet City.
