The Rosen Law Firm announced on April 17 that investors who purchased securities of Franklin BSP Realty Trust, Inc. between November 5, 2024 and February 11, 2026 have until April 27, 2026 to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in a pending securities class action lawsuit.

This development is important for shareholders who may have experienced financial losses during the specified period. The class action alleges that Franklin BSP Realty Trust made false or misleading statements regarding its business prospects and ability to maintain its dividend.

According to the lawsuit filed by Rosen Law Firm, “defendants throughout the Class Period made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) defendants recklessly overstated Franklin BSP Realty’s prospects; (2) defendants recklessly overstated Franklin BSP Realty’s ability to maintain the $0.355 dividend; and (3) as a result, defendants’ statements about Franklin BSP Realty’s business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times.” The firm said when these details became public knowledge, investors suffered damages.

The Rosen Law Firm encourages eligible investors with losses exceeding $100,000 to consider seeking lead plaintiff status before the deadline. “If you purchased Franklin BSP Realty securities during the Class Period you may be entitled to compensation without payment of any out of pocket fees or costs through a contingency fee arrangement,” according to the firm’s announcement. The press release notes that no class has been certified yet. Investors are not represented by counsel unless they retain one independently or until a class is certified by the court. Participation as lead plaintiff is not required for potential recovery but allows individuals to help direct litigation on behalf of other members.
