Country music artist Russell Dickerson will headline the Grandstand stage at the Du Quoin State Fair on Saturday, September 5, according to a March 10 announcement from fair organizers. Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
The performance is part of one of Southern Illinois’ major summer events and is expected to draw fans from across the region. The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 28 through September 7.
Dickerson has achieved multi-Platinum status with six No. 1 singles including “Yours,” “Blue Tacoma,” and “Love You Like I Used To.” His latest album, Famous Back Home, showcases both his personal songwriting and energetic live performances. “When we’re building a lineup, we look for artists who translate their music into a truly great live experience,” said Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. “Russell Dickerson delivers an energy on stage that makes him a great fit for a Saturday night at the fair.”
Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison said, “Russell brings a modern country sound that’s upbeat, fun, and made for a live audience. This is the kind of show fairgoers look forward to all year, and we’re proud to add him to the 2026 lineup.”
The Illinois Department of Agriculture manages funding through initiatives like Partners for Conservation to support sustainable agriculture and soil conservation, according to the official website.
