Sandra M. “Sandy” Marinello (nee Karas), aged 70 and formerly of Orland Park, residing in Florence, AZ, passed away. She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Frank J. Marinello and devoted mother of Gina Belluomini and Anthony Marinello. Sandy was a proud grandma to Brody, Charlotte, and Tessa, and the dear daughter of the late Clemenc and Dorothy Karas. She was also the cherished sister of Warren and Ken Karas and a kind aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Having retired after 42 years of nursing, with 34 years at Palos Hospital, Sandy dedicated herself to helping others in her community.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 3-8 p.m. The funeral is scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025, starting at 10:45 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL, proceeding to Our Lady of the Woods Church for Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Project Purple are appreciated.
