The Send it for Jesus Outreach Tour will make a stop at Hickory Hills Skatepark, organizers announced on Apr. 15. The event is part of an annual tour that visits local skateparks once a month.

The outreach aims to bring together the skateboarding community through shared activities and conversation. Organizers said the events are designed to foster faith-based discussions and build relationships within the local skate scene.

During each stop, volunteers set up a tent and host a barbecue for attendees. The group also cleans up the skatepark area, holds a Bible devotional, and encourages participants to join in a group skating session.

According to organizers, “We look to have many faith building conversations and build relationships with the skate community each stop on the tour.” All members of the public are invited to attend these gatherings, which take place on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts by faith-based groups to engage with youth communities through recreational activities while promoting positive values.
