Shinedown, a well-known rock band with multiple platinum records, is scheduled to perform at the Illinois State Fair on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The concert will take place at the Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage.
The band has achieved significant milestones in their career, including over 8.3 billion global streams and 24 number one rock hits. Shinedown’s discography includes songs such as “Second Chance,” “Simple Man,” and “Sound of Madness.” All of their albums have received either platinum or gold certification, and they have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II commented on the announcement: “Shinedown is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of our time, and we’re excited to welcome them to the Illinois State Fair. Their music connects with fans across generations, and their reputation for powerful live performances makes them a perfect addition to our 2026 concert lineup.”
The band’s recent single, “A Symptom Of Being Human,” from their seventh studio album Planet Zero, has nearly 125 million global streams. The track has charted across five radio formats and reached number one at Active Rock while also placing in the Top 10 at Alternative and Adult Contemporary. Shinedown became the first artist to have a single song reach the Top 10 at Active, Alternative, and Hot AC radio on Mediabase.
Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark stated: “Bringing an act of Shinedown’s caliber to the Illinois State Fair underscores our commitment to offering fans world-class entertainment. They are known for their explosive live shows, and this performance is sure to be a highlight of the 2026 Fair.”
Tickets for Shinedown’s performance will be available starting Friday, February 19 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Prices range from $60 for Tier 3 seats up to $140 for Blue Ribbon seats. An additional pre-show party ticket can be purchased for $30 as an upgrade option.
