Silver Cross Hospital announced on Apr. 15 that J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. will receive the 2026 Silver Cross Corporate Citizen Award in recognition of its community service, civic leadership, and philanthropic support throughout the region.

The award will be presented at the 35th Annual Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic, scheduled for June 22 at Crystal Tree Golf & Country Club in Orland Park. Proceeds from this event will support the hospital’s OR of the Future initiative, an $8.5 million project to modernize eleven operating rooms with advanced technology and improved environments for patient care.

J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal is a third-generation contractor based in Joliet and is known for its industry leadership and dedication to local communities. Chris Adler, Owner and President, has held leadership roles such as Chair of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of Will County Habitat for Humanity, while the company supports organizations including Joliet Catholic Academy and Catholic Charities.

For over twenty years, Adler Roofing has supported Silver Cross Hospital through various initiatives like the Capital Campaign for building a replacement hospital in New Lenox and providing meals to staff during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of its corporate philanthropy partnership.

“J. L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal exemplifies what it means to be a Corporate Citizen,” said Tracy Simons, CFRE, Executive Director of the Silver Cross Foundation. “Their sustained commitment to philanthropy, volunteerism, and community leadership has made a meaningful impact on Silver Cross Hospital and the region we serve.”
