Simmons Hanly Conroy announced on May 19 that it has renewed its platinum sponsorship of the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) for the fifteenth consecutive year, continuing its status as the nonprofit’s longest-running corporate supporter.

The ongoing partnership highlights Simmons Hanly Conroy’s commitment to supporting public health initiatives and legal advocacy for those affected by asbestos-related diseases. The ADAO works globally to educate communities about asbestos risks, advocate for a federal ban, and defend civil rights of individuals impacted by asbestos illnesses.

John Simmons, chairman of Simmons Hanly Conroy, said, “The ADAO is doing irreplaceable work, from driving policy change at the federal level to providing real support to families navigating devastating diagnoses.” Linda Reinstein, co-founder of ADAO, said, “Simmons Hanly Conroy’s commitment goes beyond a check. It represents a shared determination to protect people from a preventable killer, and that kind of sustained, meaningful partnership is what allows us to do this work year after year.”

This year’s sponsorship has already supported Global Asbestos Awareness Week in April and will help fund the upcoming Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference scheduled for September in Washington D.C. The firm’s support also enables ADAO programming throughout the year in areas such as public education on asbestos-related diseases and prevention research; policy advocacy; and community building for patients and families.

Additionally, Simmons Hanly Conroy organizes fundraising through its Miles for Meso program—a series of races held across several states—which since 2009 has raised over $977,500 for mesothelioma research and advocacy efforts. Combined with other charitable contributions from its foundations, the firm has directed more than $20 million toward cancer research initiatives across the United States.

Looking forward, both organizations say they remain committed to their shared goal of eliminating asbestos exposure while providing resources and support for affected communities.
