The day highlights the important role that firefighters play in responding to emergencies and keeping residents safe. Coffey said, “First responders are the backbone of public safety. They are the first ones there when we need them most, working under extreme conditions to save lives, restore order, and provide immediate care.” He also expressed gratitude by saying, “Thank you to all the firefighters in the 95th District and across Illinois for your commitment to keeping our communities safe.”

Coffey was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’s 95th House District in 2023 after Tim Butler left the position, according to information about his background.
