Eastern Illinois University announced on May 14 that senior infielder Stiverson has been selected as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Third Team All-Region honoree at third base. The recognition was released by the national organization on Thursday.
The award follows Stiverson’s strong season, during which she was named Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year. She achieved a .386 batting average with ten doubles, one triple, and four home runs, scoring 40 runs and recording 28 runs batted in during the regular season. In OVC-only play, her performance improved further to a .470 average with five doubles, four home runs, 19 RBI, and 30 runs scored.
Stiverson is the fourth Eastern Illinois player to win OVC Player of the Year honors, joining Megan Burton (2021) and Kendall Grover (2024 and 2025). Alongside her Player of the Year title and first team honors, she was also selected for the All-OVC Newcomer team.
Her contributions helped lead Eastern Illinois University’s Panthers to their second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Championship. The team is set to begin NCAA Tournament play on Friday in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
With this selection, Eastern Illinois has now had at least one player earn All-Region honors for six straight seasons.
