VILLAGE OF ORLAND PARK RECREATION & PARKS DEPARTMENT: Recreation Department Hosts Harvest Hoedown at Crescent Park on Sept. 22

Village of Orland Park Recreation & Parks Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.

Harvest Hoedown is coming to Orland Park.

The village’s Recreation Department is offering a new fall event, Harvest Hoedown on Saturday, September 22 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. at Crescent Park.

Open to adults age 21 and older, the hoedown includes a country barbecue dinner with sides and desserts from City Barbecue, along with two drink tickets for beer/wine. Water, iced tea and lemonade are complimentary. The night will feature a live country band, country western games and line dancing instruction.

“The Recreation Department is offering a new event this fall to give adults a fun night out close to home,” said Trustee Dan Calandriello, chair of the village’s Recreation and Parks Committee. “They have a lot of things planned and everyone’s invited to wear their country and western garb and join us at Crescent Park.”

Space is limited and admission is $35 for village residents, $45 for non-residents. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Tickets may be purchased at Recreation Administration, 14600 South Ravinia Avenue; at the Sportsplex, 11351 West 159th Street and online. Details can be found at http://orlandpark.org/hoedown.

Registration closes at 12 p.m., on September 19. Tickets will be available at the door if the event is not sold out. This is a non-refundable event.
